The Legacy Tree Campaign offers donors the opportunity to plant a tree in historic Union Cemetery.

Your tax deductible gift to the Union Cemetery Historical Society (UCHS) will pay for the planting of your young tree as well as care and maintenance and a replacement guarantee for two years. It may also include a permanent stone marker.

UCHS will work with you to choose a native tree and location within the cemetery grounds. Planting and maintenance will be done professionally through local nonprofit Bridging The Gap. All gift levels include donations to the UCHS and the Legacy Tree Preservation Fund. Gifts of any amount can be designated toward the Legacy Tree Campaign; gifts of $100 or more include recognition on the information kiosk in Union Cemetery.

The annual donation deadline is April 10 for spring planting and October 10 for fall planting.

You are welcome to make tax deductible donations to support and preserve these new trees as they grow and thrive in the forest within our grounds. An online donation form is available below.
